Excellent location, loved the underground vibe of the place, room was fine
The shared lobby area was poor in terms of atmosphere and facilities (there was a hot/cold tap but no tea/coffee, not even cups or mugs for guests to use), this was rather pathetic and perhaps explained why this space was always empty. Very much gave cheap youth hostel vibes. But the worst part of our stay was being asked to pay £15 per bag for luggage storage, an absolute insult and a great way to eliminate repeat business. Never in my life nor anywhere in the world have I been asked to pay for luggage storage when checking out, whether in a luxury hotel or backpackers hostel. Absolutely outrageous and I will be actively telling people not to stay at this accommodation, as this behaviour should not be normalised by the hotels industry. I planned to send this feedback directly to Zedwell, but this is not possible as there is no contact email address on their website, only phone numbers for Whatsapp messaging. What a joke.
