“Great hotel”
Just got back from universal dockside! Great location for all the parks big or small, literally get up walk to the front of the hotel and there are air conditioned coaches waiting for you and the come every 5 mins to every park on your ticket that is also the same for your trip back to the hotel from the parks. The rooms are big and the beds are extremely comfortable the showers are good enough however the mini kitchen is poorly equipped for a self catering hotel and everything feels like it’s designed to push you into the hotel amenities and the prices at the hotel are high The hotel is always busy with people which is quite nice to be honest and very relaxed atmosphere The hotel is immaculate very clean Noise at night time can be a gamble we had kids running up and down the hallway from 10pm to 3pm almost every night also playing knock-a-door run which we complained about and got a free late room as an apology which we were happy with. Only one down side for me, the pool is only 3 to 4ft deep at most I understand why but for someone who loves a swim it’s a massive deal also the life guards are extremely extremely extremely strict the slightest infringement and they all start blowing whistles and shout at you young or old! When doing your shopping there is a store just down the road called walgreens it’s very low quality and priced like Harrods! A packet of sandwich meat is about $8! Go to 7-11 instead same distance massively cheaper and better quality Some advice which the hotel does not tell you about! You can get a hotel cup that gives you access to drinks for your entire stay they are pricey at $30 each but compared to paying for individual drinks all day it’s a massive saving and you should definitely do this Over all we had a great time and you will too!!!
