“Stay clear of this rip off hotel”

arrived at this hotel like Saturday night and inviting entrance everything black and tasteless, front desk staff not very friendly felt like it was an inconvenience wasn’t given any information on anything, apart from they were going to take $1400 of my credit card as a holding fee we were not informed of this before the holiday they said it would stay pending and not leave our account two days later. It has gone out of the account when I approached the staff he said this happens every few months there’s always a glitch with their system and unfortunately it just so happened when we were there and that it would be refunded this I find is disgusting to take $1400 out of someone’s bank account. They should not have happened. Refund arrived three days later but a difference in exchange rate so I was £11 down on my refund in English pounds. very unprofessional found the whole place to be tired dull dark uninviting to lifts to get to your room on two different levels and the death staff were rude and very unfriendly and never spoke unless you spoke first the door staff were the only friendly people. Good thing about this whole hotel five star I don’t even give you tea and coffee in your room. My advice is to stay clear of this hotel.

“nice flatiron hotel”

Nice hotel and staff. Had to wait (extended) for elevator a handful of times. Some hallway noise. Room was clean. Only one bathroom sink. A/C was finicky - randomly shutting off and not cooling. Nice room, good shower pressure, had dark out shades, really nice towels, good bed. hopping bar, nice location. would stay again, if wanted that area in nyc.

“Fantastic staff and stay”

Stayed at the New York Edition last week and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. We especially enjoyed spending time at both the second-floor bar and the lobby bar, which had a great atmosphere and excellent cocktails. Our room was clean, comfortable, and offered an amazing view of the Flatiron Building. A special thank you to Vasili, the manager, who truly made our stay memorable. He was an exceptional host. Friendly, attentive, and responsive. Every request we had was handled quickly and professionally, and he consistently made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend the New York Edition and look forward to returning in the future.

Chintzy cheap Marriott furnishings, sad lobby, unhappy front desk staff, room service coffee that reeks of plastic, jack hammers and construction tape to greet you at the front door, $6k for a tiny suite 4 nights - that about sums it up
