“Cheerful staff, very comfortable rooms however we expected better”
The staff were delightful and very helpful, our room was very quiet, the bed amazingly comfortable and we slept exceptionally well. Beautiful floral displays around the hotel. The location is perfect with so many shops, department stores, cafes and restaurants nearby.
The tv in room 620 kept turning itself off, the sound crackled and the screen pixelated. We were in London during Wimbledon and the World Cup so it was frustrating not to have a working tv. The maintenance crew tried on 2 occasions to fix the problem but admitted that there were ongoing problems and all tv’s would be replaced in coming weeks. We were initially charged the price of a full continental breakfast even though we had ordered toast and coffee. We had that issue rectified promptly. Dinner at Sale e Pepe Mare was very disappointing. The main courses took a long time to arrive and both were overcooked and dried out. We would not recommend this restaurant. For the peak season price we expected much better.
