“Lovely boutique hotel in a great location.”
This is a boutique style hotel in a stylish and quiet area of Amsterdam. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. There is a number 24 tram stop nearby as well as an array of cafes and small shops. It felt very safe. The hotel itself is lovely and the room was a good size for 3 people. We loved the basket of treats left in the room for our arrival. Tea/coffee and fruit are available 24/7 in the dining area. The beds were comfortable and the complimentary Rituals shower products were lovely. Extras such as shower caps, dental packs and ear plugs are available from Reception. I would definitely stay here again but might explore room options if just two guests.
I think it was a little on the expensive side (I paid less for a 5 night stay at a 5* hotel in Singapore earlier this year) but it did tick lots of boxes. My only slight gripe with the room was that the bathroom smelt a bit funky on arrival and I think that’s because the fan only came on with use - and due to the bathroom design there was no shower screen which meant the floor got wet during showers, leading to small patches of black mould in the corners. Nothing major and I’ve seen worse but we solved the problem by ensuring that the bathroom door was left ajar where possible.
