Multiple reviews explicitly praise cleanliness of rooms and public areas; guests describe the hotel as very clean and well-maintained.
Service is frequently highlighted as a strength: welcoming, attentive staff, helpful concierge and palace-level care. A few comments note breakfast staff in the Residence lacked direction.
Location is repeatedly praised: opposite Dolmabahçe, excellent access to shops, transport and attractions, with scenic Bosphorus proximity.
Rooms are generally described as excellent, but several guests report problems: advertised Bosphorus views are partial or obstructed (trees), and some Residence bedrooms lack blackouts causing early-morning sun.
Strong amenities: excellent Turkish hammam, impressive pool, well-equipped gym and beautiful lobby. Note: rooftop converted to nightclub causes late-night noise for some rooms.
Perceived value is mixed — hotel is premium but on-site restaurants are seen as expensive compared with outside options; rooftop noise and occasional service lapses reduce value perception.
Restaurants offer quality and views but are considered pricey; Residence breakfast described as ordinary with staffing/organization issues by some guests.
Overall impressions are very positive—many guests report enjoyable stays, plan to return, and recommend the hotel, tempered by the specific issues above (view, rooftop noise, breakfast service).

“Very comfortable hotel with superb friendly staff and excellent facilities”
Very comfortable room with a view up the Bospherus. All the features of the room were very good and I particularly enjoyed a choice of pillows available. The rooms were cleaned quickly at a time suit. The facilities were excellent. We used the swimming pool, the suana/steam room in the wellness centre, several of the restaurants and the rooftop bar. Madhu's Indian restaurant was excellent. The daily breakfast had an enormous and interesting choice and although very busy, all the staff were very helpful and attentive. The restaurants and facilities are on many different floors across two towers which took a bit of getting used to but quickly became easy with fast lifts. We found the best way into the old part of Istanbul was by tram - a 20 minute walk downhill to the end of the tram line. We would certainly return.
A small point but we would have liked some form of milk in the fridge to have with tea/coffee. Many hotels today do not seem to stock soap bars but have a liquid version. I always travel with my own soap as a result! Over the weekend, the swimming pool became very busy with non-residents who can use it, the week days were much less busy although there are the usual suspects who arrive early and 'reserve' multiple deckchairs with towels and bags and then don't appear for several hours!

“I used to stay at Swissôtel regularly, but after this experience, I will definitely reconsider staying there again.”
The AC didn’t work for the first two days despite our complaints, the room was extremely hot, housekeeping was only once a day, and used/dirty towels were not replaced but put back on the shelf.
Poolside pricing was inconsistent—the exact same order cost around 1,800 TL one day and 1,200 TL the next, which felt very unprofessional. Communication was also difficult as the pool staff spoke very little English.

“One of the best hotel experiences - facilities and staff included!”
This was an absolutely wonderful hotel in Istanbul, situated in a priceless location with wonderful staff and facilities! We were especially impressed by the reception staff and in particular one of the male staff (whose name I have unfortunately forgotten) who was kind enough to facilitate an early check in after a long flight from Australia! The service and food was especially amazing! We will definitely be coming back to the SwissHotel
