“Has changed”
Have been coming to this place for 28 years and things have changed and not for the best. Check in wasn’t great, on arrival I asked for a specific block and was immediately declined as everyone who checked in had to go into block A (this apparently was the managers decision). I was gutted as this is not the hotels ethos of accommodating requests when clearly they could. Next day I pleaded with a very nice receptionist who allowed me to move where I wanted to go to. Thank you. Rooms are replenished with fresh towels and bins emptied daily. Last year beds were also made but not anymore. We should have had a linen refresh on our fourth day and deep clean on the seventh. This never happened. Stayed for breakfast a few times, still serving the same food since we started coming all those years ago however it’s still ok and good value for money. Dinner in the evening has now stopped. You had to get food from zebras if you wanted anything. Parking is now payable with a $50 max charge. All in all it appears the Rosen team have cut costs where they can but not for the better. The rooms still have comfy beds and great showers but really need updating. In the evening I always like to sit out in the deli. This used to always be busy but not anymore. Why not provide board games for guests to play and have music on over the tv rather than the doom and gloom news. Surely this will entice people to spend money in your deli. Despite all this I do love this hotel as I have great holiday memories here. Would I return again. Me yes, my husband a defiant no.
