“Big downgrade in food available.”
I've been coming to this hotel for years for trade shows and the recent changes to the food situation at the hotel are terrible. Where there used to be a bar, with a bar menu, and mediocre steak house, there is now only the new version of the mediocre Italian steak house. So if you want to get something simple for room service for dinner, you have to order a $40 plate of pasta. It is not possible to order a sandwich or a burger, only rip-off price sub-par Italian food. The breakfast was less of a downgrade but after getting inedible bacon one day and inedible sausage the next, I have learned that as long as you don't order any meat, the breakfast is ok, but again, a rip off at $30 for one person. It's a bummer that the urge to extract all money possible from customers at each step of their visit has extended to this hotel, because it was a solid, reliable choice for years. It still is, provided you plan to eat elsewhere most of the time. Note - I am not giving the restaurant a bad review because this is a failure in management to force customers to only have one option in a decent sized hotel. Wait staff is all great, they are not the problem at all. 10/10 for the staff.
