This was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I stayed in this hotel expecting the basic standards you would normally associate with an international hotel brand. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, particularly when it came to parking and the way the situation was handled by the staff. The hotel is located only about a minute’s walk from Dragon Mart, which should have been a major advantage. However, the parking situation completely ruined the convenience of the location. Despite being a paying hotel guest, I was told that there were no available parking spaces and was simply advised by staff to “find a space nearby.” This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this size and reputation. Guests should not be placed in a situation where they have to search for unofficial or unsuitable parking and then risk receiving parking fines. The possibility of having to pay fines of around AED 500 because the hotel cannot provide adequate parking for its own guests is unreasonable and extremely frustrating. What made the situation even worse was the attitude and response from some of the staff. Instead of showing concern, professionalism or trying to offer a practical solution, the response felt dismissive and lacked the level of courtesy, responsibility and customer service I would expect from an international hotel. A hotel should not accept reservations without having a reasonable system in place for its guests’ vehicles, or at the very least it should clearly inform guests before arrival that parking is limited and may not be available. Discovering this only after checking in leaves guests with very few options. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my impression of the hotel. The location next to Dragon Mart is excellent, but that advantage means very little when something as basic as parking becomes a daily problem and the staff are unable or unwilling to properly assist.
