“Awful, disappointing, not as described - would not recommend”

The location was good, near a large supermarket and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The internet service was good and there was a large screen TV.

This was not a deluxe condo and did not have the facilities described. There was little to like about the apartment but many points to dislike. The tumble dryer listed was not provided, the alternative was a drying rack and the washing machine had broken knobs so not allowing adjustment to the temperature. There was peeling paint in both bathrooms, the taps covered in limescale and no additional loo rolls provided. The upstairs terrace was in a poor state with peeling paint, a jacuzzi you could not pay me to get into, with a rusty, dirty BBQ, 2 shabby plastic tables and concrete seating with mouldy seat cushions (pictures provided) On complaining about these issues the BBQ and seat cushions were removed with a promise to replace but by the time we left this was not done. The downstairs terrace had a plastic table and only 2 mismatched plastic chairs although the apartment accommodates 4 people. The kitchen had mismatched crockery and very basic cutlery. The breakfast provided on arrival for the entire 2 week stay was very poor, who wants frankfurters for breakfast? There was no weekly change of bedding and towels, when requested bedding only was eventually changed on day 10 of our stay presumably they felt that we should wash and dry bath towels on the drying rack. The lift was not working for 3 days, we were on the 4th floor. To add insult to injury, having taken full payment immediately on arrival for the entire stay, a notification was received on day 9 that my credit card details were invalid and the reservation would be cancelled if valid details were not provided. Although I contacted Booking.com to inform them that full payment had been made and no details of additional charges had been provided, the reservation was cancelled by the property on day 10 when Booking.com tried to contact the property about this. We moved out on day 11 to put an end to a terrible stay and booked into alternative accommodation.

“A deeply disappointing and misleading stay marked by overcharging, poor cleanliness, broken promises”

This was one of the most disappointing stays we have experienced. We were overcharged compared to the price agreed upon on Booking.com. During the process, the reservation later appeared as canceled, while the payment seemed to go directly to the property, which felt untransparent and irregular. The apartment was dirty upon arrival and stayed that way for the entire stay. There was no cleaning service at all. The bathrooms and showers were dirty, the utilities were poorly maintained, and the beds were very uncomfortable. On top of that, the hot water in the showers ran out within minutes, making basic showers difficult, especially for a family. The “daily breakfast” was completely misleading. The listing photos showed a buffet-style breakfast, but in reality we received two bags of basic groceries on the first day only—nothing after that. We ended up spending over $800 on groceries just to cover breakfast. When the bathroom became clogged, the landlord was unavailable and did not respond for over 24 hours, leaving us without a proper solution. The condominium staff were also unable to assist with anything. We were explicitly promised a sofa bed, which did not exist. When we asked, the landlord said “sometimes people use the sofa as a bed,” which was dismissive and unacceptable. The only positive aspect was the location. Overall, this property is misrepresented and poorly managed, and we strongly recommend avoiding it.
