“Convenient but needs refresh”
It is time for this hotel to have a refresh and be updated. This was my second stay in the past year. The hotel is convenient to the 42nd St / Port Authority train station. It is close to Times Square but not exactly on the main street which can be busy and noisy. I was on the 24th floor and heard street noise/cars. Also I am a platinum elite that reserved a premium upper floor room. There was no mention of the complimentary upgrade. The bellsmen are the only people greeting you in the hotel. I felt like a bother to the front desk. The app tells you to communicate with the staff by text but it’s takes over an hour for them to respond back. Someone knocked on my door at 2am with a fridge. I was in bed. When I arrived to my room there was a glass, knife, and fork outside the door. Those items stayed there the entire duration of my stay. Inside the room was a previous guest’s dirty sock. The room was relatively clean with mostly just stained carpet that needs to be replaced. Housekeeping removed that when I called. The bathroom was not fully stocked and I ran out of body wash because the reusable bottle wasn’t refilled. The Byredo products are nice but not sure of the authenticity. The shower has a lot of mold and mildew. If my stay had been longer than 2 nights, I would have found another suitable hotel.
