8박9일 포르투갈 여행 중 가장 규모가 큰 호텔이었습니다. 소형 고급 호텔들과는 다른 규모에서 주는 편안함이 있습니다. 위치는 주요 관광지 앞은 아니지만 공원 앞이라 마지막 숙박으로 최고였습니다. 조용하고 차분해서 좋았어요. 직원들 또한 친절했어요.

관광지가 조금 멀다는 점? 하지만 그게 장점이기도 합니다.

It should be made clear to guests that at certain hours, it takes longer to get a taxi and might be challenging if you need a specific kind of car. This made my airport pick-up from the hotel complicated and could have became a problem for me. The concierge staff should work on their bedside manner.

The cleaning service, the room, and the location were all very good, especially if you want to walk down to the city centre. They also upgraded our room at no extra cost due to an issue on their side, which was a very nice gesture and clearly an effort to make up for the inconvenience.

However, there were some serious issues with the payment and parking arrangements. At check-in, they reserved the full amount for all the booked nights on our card. At check-out, instead of simply releasing the original reservation and charging the correct amount, they charged the amount again while the initial reservation was still pending. As a result, our account temporarily showed a negative balance equivalent to almost double the hotel cost. This was done without any prior explanation, and we could not find any clear information about this procedure either during the Booking.com reservation or in the IHG policies. Another issue concerns the parking. We stayed for 7 nights under two separate bookings. During the first 5 nights, we rented a car. When we arrived at the hotel, a gentleman from the hotel took the car and parked it in a dedicated parking area next to the hotel, without charging us anything. However, during our final 2 nights, when we were checking out and preparing to go to the airport, the lady at the front desk suddenly asked us to pay €25 for one night of parking. We obviously did not accept this charge, especially since it was our final day and the rental car had already been returned to the company several hours earlier. Overall, while the room, cleanliness, location, and the room upgrade were positive aspects, the unclear payment procedure and inconsistent information regarding parking were disappointing and should be communicated much more clearly to guests.
