“Dont expect to sleep here”

Awful. Room 105 which we were checked into after booking directly as previous customers was horrible. A tiny window in the corner. Air conditioning not working, exceedingly hot and couldn’t sleep in the 30 degree heat. We did complain and the manager decided he would visit the room to fix the issue. He placed a large noisy mechanical fan on a soft stool next the bed. The cord stretched over from a plug that was a trip hazard. The fan could not be used. Outside there is a nightclub running until 3am or so. There is a dj on the roof. The rooms are advertised as soundproof. They are not. Nowhere near it. Second night they moved us to a suite where the air conditioning which is advertised as standard to all rooms, did actually work. We left at 3am to go home The manager Guilm said he would refund us for such an expensive stay that we may as well have spent outside. The refund has arrived for one night. Not what they promised. Hated this place, after staying a few times before I have completely changed my mind. Visitors flock to this place from other hotels to dance on the roof terrace, but they go home to cheaper hotels and cause all hell of noise at the expense of people paying a lot of money to stay as hotel guests here. Lots of exhausted guest have breakfast in the mornings. If you want to spend this amount of money per night, stay somewhere else. Please take note that the rooms are not soundproof and you may get one where the ac isn’t working. They don’t care if you are a previous customer or indeed if you booked directly. Even worse, their prices are high for such shoddy service to resolve issues. Don’t stay here if you want a relaxing night sleep. Even when you do drift off, the bin and service lorry will have you awake again by 8am
