“Oasis in the heat of Tulum”
I was hesitant about going to Tulum because of the overdevelopment and crazy prices but i had an amazing time at Holistika. From the moment I pulled up, I knew I had come to the right place. There is culture, community, and such great energy. The grounds are so beautiful: paths through the jungle with art and cool little seating nooks. For anyone interested in treatments, yoga, energy work- there are endless options. The restaurant is so atmospheric and delicious. There is a little shop for ice cream and goodies and a juice bar. Everyone is incredibly friendly. And there are so many animals to interact with- cats, a raccoon, and guests brought their dogs. The pool was so quiet, clean, and the perfect temperature. It was perfect for morning and evening swims with my family. Many yoga type retreat centers do not allow children and it was wonderful that Holistika welcomes children (traveling with my 3 year old and 14 year old) . Also, it is in a great location- away from the craziness of the beach strip and within walking distance to a really cool older Tulum district with shops, awesome restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. We always felt safe here. Loved our stay and will come back.
I would leave love it if there were suits with 2 rooms (maybe there are but they were just booked during my stay). Our room was big but we shared two full beds with our kids so a bit cramped.
