Somewhere in Time… and Apparently Forgotten This hotel appears to have been preserved exactly as it was decades ago. Unfortunately, it seems to have forgotten that we are now well into the 21st century and that both the rooms and facilities are long overdue for renovation. It is difficult to understand why this property continues to be promoted on booking platforms. From the floors to the ceilings, the hotel shows significant signs of age and neglect. AIR CONDITIONING We were initially assigned Room 309 but requested a transfer due to several issues. The staff kindly moved us to Room 306, which was a slight improvement as the air conditioning actually functioned. However, it still struggled to cool the room adequately. The air conditioner in Room 309 appears unfamiliar with the concept of producing cold air. Our stay was okay overall, but one issue really affected our comfort. The air conditioning wasn't cooling the room enough, and it became uncomfortably hot, especially at night. We ended up having to ask for some electric fans just to make the room bearable. The staff did provide one, which we appreciated, but it would have been much better if the air conditioning had worked properly from the start. We hope the hotel can address this issue so future guests have a more comfortable stay. BREAKFAST Breakfast was basic and unremarkable, with little variety or quality to justify expectations. It certainly succeeded in being memorable for how forgettable it was. The one standout was Ari from Indonesia, whose warm smile and genuinely positive attitude made the experience far more enjoyable. He consistently provided excellent service and always looked happy to be doing his job. It's a shame that the breakfast itself couldn't match the standard that Ari set every morning. HOTEL STAFF The hotel staff were the one truly outstanding aspect of our stay. In particular, the Filipino and Indonesian receptionists deserve special recognition.
