It was right in the city centre, we were able to book one day prior to our stay. Which was very pleasant

It isn’t very accessible if you have big luggage, considering the stairs, but since it’s in the city centre of Amsterdam, we were aware of that.

Location was excellent. 400 metres from the main train station. The gentleman who checked me in was very chatty and pleasant, and fluent in multiple languages.

Lots of DIY work was going on. This is obviously a positive thing for future guests, but not hugely relaxing for me, personally. I left a €100 deposit upon arrival. No problem with this, as it is sensible to do this. When checking out; they didn’t check the bedroom for damages or thefts. Kind of defeats the point of taking a €100 deposit. Obviously, I didn’t steal or break anything, but I just found it a little bizarre that they didn’t even check. Not a complaint - simply an observation.
