Très bon emplacement, grandes chambres propres, minibar gratuit.

Ne prenez pas la "suite" normale: personne ne vous le dira mais elle n'a pas de vraie fenêtre (vitres opaques), avec une gaine de ventilation XXL qui passe le long de la fenêtre et fait un bruit de soufflerie en permanence. C'est invivable, sombre, on dirait une prison. L'hôtel trouve ca normal, et vous devez payer un supplément pour avoir une vrair chambre avec fenêtre (la "suite avec balcon"). Inacceptable pour un soi disant 5 etoiles qui fait payer des tarifs européens.

“Great hotel for a stay in Mexico City's Central Historic district”

In the Centro Historico district of Mexico City, this is a great choice. A block away from the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the nearby metro station, you can get anywhere in the city relatively easy and cheaply. Great restaurants are close by. The promenade through the heart of the district - La Avenida Francisco Madero - is a block away, and is a great place to walk and get a sense of the city and culture. The hotel itself is recently updated (2024, I think), and the rooms are clean and nicely laid out. The staff was pleasant and with the breakfast included it is a great value. I would stay again.

There are two issues to be aware of, none related to the hotel. The first is the noise outside on the street. I could handle it for a few days, but it was rather annoying to get a 6am wake up on Sunday morning from a vendor/person(?) on a loudspeaker. They droned on until about 8am. The second is the area, which has a lot of empty buildings. As I understand it, these are warehouses for good imported by Chinese companies. It's a shame that these once beautiful buildings are now just shells to store goods, but along with that I think it introduces blight into the area since there is no care or pay attention to the building exterior as there would be with residential or storefront use. I hope the city planners make sure to have more mixed use in this area, otherwise this area could go downhill quickly.
