“Location was great! The motel, not so much!”

The location was excellent and I liked being on the marina, looking at the water outside of our room was very nice, having a outside patio was good. I liked our room housekeeper.

Okay, where do I start: We were on the bottom floor and it smelled a bit musty. The painting on the wall was had pieces of wall falling off. The carpet needs to be replaced in the hall and was coming up in the room. The tub drained very slowly. I asked for another wash cloth and they did not have any cleaned. To give the housekeeper credit, she did bring me some later, she was nice. We had no coffee machine in the room, the ice maker was broken for the season. They did make small bags of ice, which we had to ask for. The table in our room was not stable, the lighting was poor and dark. The outside patio was nice, but needed nice soft welcoming lighting, a plant or two - how about a palm tree? It needs a new paint job. The liquor store market next door was closed. We were charged $50 for one lost key. We paid $260 a night - not cheap. They wanted $50 /hr for a late check out, and $1 each to watch our bags. Man what I could do with this property!!!
