“Hotel is very nice and comfortable, location problematic”

The room was very comfortable with a large wooden deck/verandah overlooking the market. The breakfast was very tasty. And the AC was welcome in hot and humid Barcelona. Staff were friendly and generally helpful, especially with the big mess on Las Ramblas. The taxi could only stop on the opposite side of the boulevard, the hotel clerk came and helped us with our luggage . We had to cross the busy boulevard. Really appreciated that.

The property was fine, no issues. Except for the location. Las Ramblas is a total mess, construction going on for a few years, we were told. If we had known, we might looked for a different more accessible location. Taxis can’t stop in front, if going towards Plaza Catalunya. On the day of our departure, we couldn’t find a taxi willing to take us to the cruise port, so had to walk about 500m with our luggage to try and find one, Not so nice in the midday sun. I read many reviews, but strangely, none mentioned the mess that is Las Ramblas!

Except for the construction outside it was a good location. Maybe a little too busy but that's not hotels fault

You can feel or hear the metro under the ground but it didn't bother us.
