I do not recommend this hotel at all, and there are several reasons for that. I will list some of them here: 1. The front desk staff do not speak the local language, Portuguese, which I find unacceptable for a hotel operating in Portugal. 2. There were no fire extinguishers visible on every floor. I only saw one on the third floor, which raises serious safety concerns. 3. My room had a very strong and unpleasant smell, similar to a septic or sewage smell. It was so bad that it was impossible to sleep. The smell seemed to be coming from the sewage system, and exposure to these types of gases can potentially pose health risks. I honestly have no idea how a hotel can be operating under these conditions, without what I consider to be basic health and safety standards.
