“Good location, good value for money.”
My husband and I stayed at Ceren Luxury Apartments in Playa del Carmen for 6 nights and had a great overall experience. The location is absolutely one of the property's biggest strengths, it's literally just steps from Fifth Avenue, making it incredibly convenient to walk to countless restaurants, bars, shops, attractions, and tour operators. We hardly needed transportation during our stay. Our room was a little smaller than we expected, but it matched the photos perfectly. It was clean, well-maintained, and had no unpleasant odors, which we really appreciated. The property operates more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, so it's worth knowing that daily housekeeping isn't included. We weren't offered any cleaning during our stay, and when I asked about it, I was told it would be an additional charge. We did receive fresh towels on the fourth day, but that was the only service for the remainder of our trip. The staff was friendly but mostly stayed out of the way, which suited us just fine. The manager was especially responsive. On our first day, I noticed the air conditioner wasn't cooling properly. I reached out, and it was repaired that same afternoon. After that, it worked perfectly for the rest of our stay, which was excellent customer service. The only real downside was the bed. It was much firmer than we prefer and could definitely benefit from a more luxurious mattress and higher-quality linens. I woke up with back pain on a couple of mornings because of it. Overall, Ceren Luxury Apartments offers excellent value for money, especially considering its unbeatable location. We'd definitely stay here again, although we'd probably choose a different room and hope for a more comfortable bed next time.
