The lanai and pool/outdoor area were beautiful and spacious.

The host was not accommodating to requests. We were in town for a funeral which got rescheduled, I asked for a cancellation within less than 24 hours of my original booking. The “cancellation fee” cost nearly as much as the entire stay and would not be waived. I also asked for a little flexibility to arrive one hour earlier than the check in time, and that was declined. The AC was locked and not able to be changed, same thing with the refrigerator temperature which was very high.

Nice location, well maintained, very clean. It’s clearly a place a lot of effort has been put into and is well decorated. It’s just got some quirks such as smallish rooms and an off layout that come with older homes.

The layout is strange. Most of the living space is in what must have been the patio at one stage. The only way to it is through either bedroom. It’s also not lockable or fully insulated. Bedrooms are on the smaller side. On the other side of the house there is needs to be a blind on the front door since you can see into multiple rooms in the house from the street without it. Nothing that would stop me from renting again but with different expectations now that I know what I’m getting. It’s more functional/normal vs luxury
