The hotel is absolutely beautiful on the outside and in the first floor reception. The gym is very convenient, the room with hot tub was a nice add on. The roof pool is great. Breakfast is abundant and fresh.

The hotel itself is quite large, and unfortunately covered entirely in carpet - outdated and not nice looking carpet. The spa could not have been less welcoming - on two occasions. We ate two meals at Seen upstairs and unfortunately both were really not great. For $1200 a night, you really would expect a five star stay, but did not feel that the price fit what we received.

The hotel is in a fantastic central location, close to Rome’s major sights and the train station. It is a beautiful historic building, and the staff were extremely helpful. The concierge team were exceptional, booking restaurants and taxis for us throughout our stay. We accidentally left some belongings behind, and they located them and immediately arranged for them to be sent back to us. Their service really stood out.

We had requested interconnecting rooms because we were travelling with young children. Although the hotel managed to place our two rooms next to each other, it was disappointing that interconnecting rooms could not be provided. The rooftop pool was smaller than it appeared in the photographs, and the surrounding floor was extremely slippery. The rooftop pool restaurant also felt below the standard of the rest of the hotel. There were mosquitoes in our rooms, and I was bitten several times.
