“Ants it lovely!”

Everything was great at the hotel except for an invasion of ants in the bathroom that forced us to vacate the room at 11 pm in the night.

See above. The any invasion was enormous and the spray used didn’t completely eliminate the ants and filled the entire apartment with chemical spray that made it difficult to breathe. We had to vacate to another room and in the morning when I asked about some form of compensation for our disrupted night I was told we got a bigger better room. I didn’t care because I am 79 years old and it was a major problem dealing with the ants, the air and then having to pack up everything and move at midnight. We were leaving at 9am in the morning after not getting much sleep. No one from the hotel followed up. It was a big disapppointment. I have a video of the ants and you can see that the problem is ongoing. The staff did their best but it was a most unpleasant experience. Perhaps the location of our room next to the open land invites insects. The entire plave is painted and the pool is very clean but we had a very unfortunate experience thus my rating the hotel less than perfect.
