“Service is good but poor hospitality from the manager”

Great location and hotel is clean with a lot of AC especially during this heatwave in Rome right now. Breakfast was good and the servers were really nice, definitely appreciated them for welcoming. The main complaint I have is the bald guy with the suit & red tie at the front, which I think is the manager. I hope he’s reading this. He barely says hi and doesn’t felt like welcoming. My wife tried to say hi to him, but he barely could make eye contact & mumbled hi back. We would come back from going outside but doesn’t make eye contact nor does he says hello at all. I brushed it off and thought he was just shy. However, I was observing when he interacted with other guests, and his eyes seem more lively along with being welcoming. I wouldn’t typically write this review, but it’s unsettling for my wife & I especially during our honeymoon. We’re both Asian, and I notice there’s a a distinct way he interacts with us vs. other non-Asian guests (I’ll leave it to your imagination). Would recommend this hotel if it wasn’t this situation.

“Exceeded expectations!”

After an exhausting journey from the Rome cruise terminal—made even more difficult by canceled train service—Christina and Francesca welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, and professionalism that they completely transformed what had been a miserable morning into a wonderful start to our stay in Rome. It may sound like an exaggeration, but I honestly cannot remember receiving better hotel service anywhere. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of us and making our time at Hotel Damaso so memorable.
