Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Tampa East - Ybor City, an IHG Hotel

Everyone was very kind the place was cool inside.

We have a handicap accessible room room 102 and when you took a shower all the water ran out onto the floor. My husband asked for towels to put on the floor just dry up all the water and they gave him some they told him they were older towels used for that purpose that really needs fixing I want other things I think the air condition I like my room nice and cool it was cold but not the way I like it and we had it set on 60.

We liked the closeness to everything. Beds were comfortable and clean.

There were a huge group of homeless and what appeared to be drugged adults hanging out at the entrance of the hotel which made us feel a little unsafe. A lot attendant would be nice. I would have felt better leaving our vehicle parked while on the cruise. As we pulled up to check-in we noticed a couple arguing and getting fighting outside the doors of the hotel. The front desk employee did try to address the issue but I feel there should be security present during the evening hours. Unfortunately due to these issues we will most likely not stay again. It's a lovely hotel just not safe. Please let us know if things change we would love to continue to visit as we have many more trips to Florida.
