Four Points by Sheraton Pueblo Puntacana

“Complimentary shuttles much appreciated, but beware of breakfast offerings!”

Very much appreciated the complimentary hourly hotel shuttle service to the Playa Blanca Beach at the Puntacana Resort (10-minute drive from the hotel). The breakfast buffet had a number of red flags: 1) fresh pineapple wedges that were so overripe that they were beginning to ferment..... 2) what was labelled as almond milk tasted like watered down canned evaporated milk (definitely not fine for people who are lactose intolerant)... 3) sliced almonds (for adding to cereals) were rancid.... 4) some of the cold cuts tasted like they had been left out for too long, and were about to go off.... 5) most of the savoury dishes were heavily salted (not fine for people with low-sodium diets).....

“Nice short visit, convenient to airport”

Staff was great - recommended an authentic Dominican restaurant that was great! The shuttle to Playa Blanca is a nice perk. The shuttle to the airport was also very helpful, and they run on time, which is really nice when you have a plane to catch.

“Great Hotel!”

We stayed here two nights before our cruise out of La Romana. Our room was great and we slept great. Everything in the room was clean and well maintained. We weren't feeling very adventurous and ended up eating at the onsite restaurant for all our meals. The food and service were excellent! All the staff were great, but the two we remember the most were Juan Carlos at the bar and Yeuri in the restaurant.

“Stay spoiled by dreadful airport transfer experience”

Our stay here was rather ruined by our transfer from the airport. We were not told that one has to use a telephone inside the airport to call the shuttle bus and were also not informed that the bus is not identified as being from the hotel (it is black with 'Punta Cana tourism' in orange lettering). In all it took us three telephone calls and two hours of waiting. The hotel is adequate as a one-night stopover although lacking in atmosphere. We chose to go out to the village for breakfast.
