I would like to share my honest experience after staying at Bianca Maria Palace Hotel for one week. Please read my story before you decide to stay here. Overall, the hotel was acceptable but nothing particularly special. However, an incident involving my missing retainer made my stay extremely disappointing. Around the fourth day of my stay, I noticed that my retainer was missing after housekeeping had cleaned my room. My retainer had been placed inside a plastic case, but strangely, the case was still in my bathroom while the retainer itself had disappeared. I searched thoroughly throughout the bathroom and bedroom but could not find it. At around 10 p.m., I went to reception for help. The lady working that evening was very kind and came to my room to help me search. She also told me that she would inform the morning staff and the housekeeping team so that they could keep an eye out for it. I truly appreciated her assistance. The following day, I went back to reception to ask for an update. A male receptionist then handed me only my upper retainer and told me that it had been found in the corridor. Normally, a retainer set contains both an upper and a lower piece, but only one was returned. I find it extremely difficult to understand how my retainer, which had been placed inside a closed plastic case in my room, could have ended up in the corridor. It seems likely that the case was accidentally knocked over or dropped during housekeeping, causing the retainers to fall out, with one of them possibly being swept or moved outside the room. I politely asked whether Bianca Maria Palace Hotel could offer any compensation towards replacing the missing retainer. However, the receptionist immediately said that it was not the hotel’s responsibility because the retainer had been found outside the room. He did not offer to speak to a manager, investigate the situation further, or provide any form of assistance.
