Beautiful property view of the marina from the pool. Free roaming donkeys and animals really add to the experience. Good access to hiking paths. Friendly staff.
While the property was beautiful and the staff were friendly, several communication gaps and a lack of expected services fell short of a four-star experience. Our check-in introduction was too brief, leaving us completely unaware that the independent onsite restaurant served small lunch dishes, which resulted in unnecessary daily drives to the port for snacks. Crucial security details were also delayed, as we were only given the nightly door access code three days into our stay. Furthermore, the vital advice to rent a small car due to the narrow hairpin bends leading to the property was sent just one week before our arrival; this should have been communicated months prior during booking to accommodate international trip planning. For the price tier, the amenities felt like a "bring your own" style, lacking some touches like poolside cocktail service, and we were disappointed to find that our complimentary water bottles were not replaced daily. Lastly, despite informing the staff in advance that we were celebrating a birthday, the occasion was completely unacknowledged, capping off a stay that lacked the proactive attention to detail expected of a luxury establishment in this price tier.
