What staying in Tennis resorts is actually like
- Location
- The courts are on the older, low-rise resorts: the Golden Mile between Marbella and Puerto Banús, plus the golf estates inland at Mijas and Estepona.
- Dining
- The Golden Mile resorts have destination restaurants; the golf estates do not, so you will be driving to eat.
- Transit
- 45–55 minutes from Málaga Airport. The inland golf resorts need a car; the Golden Mile does not.

The tennis club here is the one the coast is known for, attached to a resort with fifteen-plus restaurants and botanical gardens.
Tip: Court time books out on weekends in season — arrange it with the concierge before you arrive.

Two pools, five restaurants and an 18-hole Dave Thomas course in the hills, on the Golden Mile since the 1950s.
Tip: The golf course is a shuttle ride inland rather than on site — worth planning around.
La Cala Resort
Three golf courses, a golf academy and courts between the Sierra de Mijas and the sea.
Tip: It is a golf resort first — rooms look over the fairways rather than the water.
