- The coast road between Marbella and Estepona — the New Golden Mile — had the space these resorts needed. Benahavís village is a ten-minute climb inland from it.
- Dining
- Benahavís village is worth the drive up for dinner; it has more restaurants per resident than anywhere else on this coast. The resorts run their own.
- Transit
- 50–60 minutes from Málaga Airport. A car is effectively required — the village is not walkable from the coast.
