We had a great room with a jungle view, great location right on the beach, not too far from playa del carmen, walkable distance and good location for days out such as Xcaret, great range of restaurants and good food

“Minor Tweaks in the All-Inclusive Policy...”
There was a small but surprisingly unnecessary issue with the in-room fridge. Normally it’s stocked with assorted canned drinks (cola, 7Up, mineral water, beer). Our fridge had no mineral water, so we requested restocking. Service arrived and brought one can of mineral water, insisting it had to replace another can from the fridge. The next day, the customer service manager explained this was due to a new policy: each room now gets only one can of drink, even for two adults at an all-inclusive resort. We were also told that many other guests had been raising the same issue at the front desk. If both guests prefer the same drink, the proposed solution was to remove a different drink entirely (e.g., no 7Up) so both could share the same one—essentially putting guests in the awkward position of needing a “preferred soft drink list” in case they’re asked. What started as a minor request turned into an unnecessary and puzzling waste of vacation time. For an all-inclusive resort, this policy feels oddly restrictive—following the same logic, one might wonder if the next policy will be one towel per room.
