“Mooie eenpersoonskamer in visserswijkje op 10 minuten busafstand van Malaga-centrum”

Leuk pension in visserswijkje in oost-Malaga, mooi verzorgde eenpersoonskamer. Eigenlijk perfecte plek om te zijn, 10 minuten met bus naar Malaga centrum, maar ook fijn strandje dichtbij.

This was our first trip after a long time, and we were looking forward to a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, we were disappointed as soon as we entered the room. We paid over €600 for this stay because of the excellent reviews about the cleanliness and location, but the cleanliness was far below expectations. During our 6-night stay, the bed sheets were never changed. The towels were changed only once, and although we were two guests, we were given only one towel. When I politely asked for another towel, the staff member was very rude. The room had a very unpleasant smell, possibly due to poor ventilation or even mold. We had to keep the window open all the time, but it faced a busy street, making the noise unbearable. My partner has respiratory problems, so I asked to change rooms, but the request was refused. I was told this was one of the largest rooms available. I don’t know whether the staff member was the owner, but she was unfriendly, unhelpful, and made us feel very uncomfortable. The room was cleaned only once during our stay (if at all), the trash was emptied only once, and I had to take it out myself another time. The only positive thing was the beautiful courtyard.
