“Nice place, but definitely not a hands on host”
The apartment was modern and nicely furnished. The double-glazed windows reduced noise from the street. You are in the historic area, but it was not noisy at night, so we slept well. Good water pressure in the showers and beds were comfortable. Very close to restaurants, cafés, attractions and shopping.
We were told someone would meet us at the location, no one showed. It was only with the help of a store owner across the street that she was able to get in touch with the caretaker of the host and we were given the codes to access. A process that took close to 1.5 hours, after a day of 18 hours of travel, the last thing we expected to have to do. There is no microwave, very inconvenient, but there is an oven should you wish to cook a roast or a turkey..... There were zero cleaning products (we stayed for 34 nights); no dishwasher tabs, no toilet bowl cleaner, no washing machine tabs. No vacuum, broom or mop to keep the place tidy. The satellite television was out regularly, almost every day, sometimes for only a few minutes, other times until the next day. Contacted the host via booking.com, never heard back.
