“Resort amazing, room not so much ☹️”

The resort was beautiful, the staff and location was amazing.

Our room, the bathroom door kept falling off the track, it kept getting stuck to where I was stuck and couldn’t get out several times. Then could only open it one foot. Also my husband fell in the room and I requested a shower chair and portable shower bar and they said they would provide me with those items of never did. We were only there for two nights before a cruise, however we were with three other families and my daughter had what looked like a handicap room, I wish I had requested one, that was my fault for not doing so in advance. I just was not impressed with our room considering the beautiful resort status.

Staff was fantastic. Was very clean.

Valet fee was $20/night higher than other nearby hotels. Pool closed too early. Would have liked better variety of cuisine on site. The bathroom door didn’t lock…or even close for that matter. Microwave in room would have been a plus. The extra daily amenities fee for things no one probably ever uses seemed like a total money grab.

The breakfast was great. We were upgraded to a room on the top floor with both beach and harbour views, which were spectacular. The pool was nice, the platform to the beach made it really easy to cross the road & it was good to have the sunbeds on the beach included.

The valet parking. As an average middle-class British citizen, valet parking is not something I am familiar with, so although it is probably completely normal for most people - I didn't like being rushed out of my car, I wanted to pick select things from the trunk to take into the room as we were only staying for one night. Then when we got to the room, I needed 1 small thing from the car which I could normally just have gone out to a car park & got. It wasn't important enough to have the car collected, pay the man a tip and then have it parked back up again, so I really didn't like this service being forced upon me, as there was no other alternative, especially as it was £63/night plus tax and then tips for the drivers.
