“Not sure if its worth the price”
In general we had a great time, the hotel has awesome pools and the water park was a major hit with my daughter. The cleaning staff was very friendly, only having the issue described below, every day afterwards they would clean it before we came back from our activities. Hibachi restaurant was awesome, with a benihanas-like experience that we all enjoyed, and the food was good. The staff are all exceptional, very friendly and always willing to improve your experience, with the exception of course with the rude rep mentioned below of course.
There was, however, a couple of details that made the experience a bit uncomfortable. The day we got into our room, there was a small cockroach in our hotel room, right where the fridge and the coffee station were stored (inside a cupboard). As someone who is highly afraid of cockroaches and easily disgusted by them, I could not sleep properly knowing that they were there. As a Mexican, mama always said: "small roaches means filth, and its not just one. That's a roach problem." There was also the fact that we had to ask multiple times for them to come and clean the room, even after putting the sign out on the door that lets housekeeping know that we would like the room to be cleaned. We had to ask four times, with them finally coming in to clean it around six PM, when we were getting ready to head out for dinner. I should point out that when we came back from dinner the room was clean. We had asked for late checkout, calling and confirming a day before our checkout date and once more in the early morning of our checkout. They still came and tried to kick us out at 12pm, stating that the new family was at reception waiting on us. When we advised them of our late checkout, the hotel representative was very rude and going on about a fee for late checkout ( we had assumed this would be the case and had no issue whatsoever paying it) even though they never advised us of any late checkout fee. The food at the buffet was... an understatement, and that's all I will say about that. Although the restaurants certainly did go up in quality. They cut our water off for an entire day, which made it very uncomfortable since we had to use the bathroom and there was no water to flush, not to mention that we could not take a shower to head out for dinner. When we called and asked them the issue they had no response for us.
