“A truly exceptional experience in every sense - we can’t wait to be come back!”
Everything about Palmaïa is beautiful! You get an ocean front resort that is still tucked away in the jungle. We got to see so much wildlife simply by walking the grounds. The design and intention behind each space is also exceptional and there are so many unique spots to explore. The rooms were spacious, bright and comfortable!

As many others have said, the food is good. And the rooms are well stocked with nutritious snacks and drinks which was nice.
- Lack of classes/variety; only a few classes - not at all what was described. They claim on website over 50 activities - there's nowhere near that!!! You realise when you're there that every day is the same limited options - and they include an evening DJ as one of those sessions! I was there for a week and every day was roughly the same with 1 yoga/breathing session (and you have to get up before 7am - if you want to rest and lie in and miss those, there's no other opportunity for the rest of the day for yoga). The only other activities are the DJ set (!), some kind of music/sound bath thing or meditation in the afternoon, 1 art session and on some days a ceremony like a cacao ceremony. There's literally no other exercise/workout/yoga/movement classes or anything else. That's surprising considering how much you're paying and considering the claim of 50 activities. - It's supposed to be a disconnect and yet the only way to communicate to find out what's going on is by whatsapp with your assigned "guide" (and the texts are endless). - It's overpriced - I've stayed at other wellness retreats a third of the price with much better classes and overall experience. I would pay (as I did) for a good wellness retreat but this just wasn't worth what they are charging. - Overall, there's something really weird about it that just doesn't work - the trying to be high-end gourmet restaurants mixed with some of instructors being really lovely, earthy, genuine people but their energy/the message not matching with the strange, boxy modern main building and surroundings that doesn't feel like a retreat at all - it feels kind of disconnected with the earth and yet they're trying to sell this crafted wellness experience. Something doesn't feel genuine about it, particularly as it's so unbelievably overpriced compared with what they're offering.

“This was the perfect stay for relaxation and great food. Not a vegan or vegetarian, but felt satisfied by the food. Love”
Great property. Well designed, clean, easy to access and private. Didn’t feel like there was too many people, was able to bike or walk between places. The bathrooms were in fantastic condition.
