Fantastic friendly staff. Great location near amenities and quick jump on Metro to centre of Amsterdam. Double glazing was excellent so even front of hotel room was pretty quite. Comfortable, large bed with excellent black out blinds. Good breakfast choice if a little expensive. Great shower.
No space around bed to get in or out, so you had to shuffle down the bed, to the end to exit which was annoying if you get up through the night. It was a double bed/room but only had one chair ! If you sat on the bed to watch TV or read there was only one bed light and one place to rest drinks E.g. windowsill. The lighting made no sense as the shower/toilet only had a light if you turned on all of the 'bright' room lights which was not ideal at night. There were no coffee or tea making facilities. Rooms designed by people aiming to save money for the hotel rather than considering their guests basic needs. Would avoid Marriot Hotels in the future for this reason.
