“Nice stay”
We arrived home today after a 3 night stay at the hotel. On arrival the hotel is lovely, smells lovely in the main lobby area and really clean. We stayed in room 309 which was a great location and clean, a little more attention could have been paid as the dresser was caked in dust when we arrived, this however could be as the sliding door was wide open on our arrival. Would have been better to have areived to a nice cool room but thats a minor moan! Super comfortable bed so had great sleep all nights, spacious, great shower, lovely view. My only complaint is the tv...no idea what was going on but hardly any English channels and channels would disappear. 1 day we had 20 the next we had 65. The channels never stayed on the same numbers etc so was a bit of a nightmare as the guide didnt work so had to go through 1 at a time! We had quite a lot of disruption of noise and being wokrn from cleaners on the floor above scraping the chairs across the tiled floors! Not ideal. Pool area is lovely. Water temperature is wonderful and the bubble pool is a nice little addition but on a timers cant be controlled by guests. There was always some kind of activity going on round the pool which looked fun. You will struggle for beds round the pool as people start from as early as 7.30am then dont lie on them all day. This has been mentioned MULTIPLE times throughout the review and is beyond me why this isnt controlled! If towels are there for a certain amount of time they should be removed. Its the only way to ensure fairness across all guests. You will likely be able to pitch a bed on the terrace but it you want to be right round the pool are if recommend setting an early alarm! Id also recommend getting a bed on the hotel side of the pool if your a sun worshipper as the rest goes into the shade rather early due to the high buildings. Snack bar food was ok, nothing amazing, my husband is a veggie and they only had a maximum of 2 mini veggie pizzas to offer per day. These are child size pizzas and if more than 1 veggie is on site your screwed! Aside from that there are burgers, hot dogs, kebab and chips. Non of it really to my liking but a lot of people were eating. Entertainment was good, always something on to cover off all age ranges at the hotel. The animation team work hard as do the bar staff, however the drinks...i have to say are awful (personal opinion) i tried copious amounts of alcoholic options and nothing say well at all! Too shelf is available at an additional price but as an all inclusive customer id have expected top shelf. My husband booked this and I wasn't aware it wasn't included...we did notice ok our leaving there is a little room downstairs when you can get top shel if your a silver band holder but we had no idea about this option! We didnt go in the spa so really cant comment but from the entrance it looked lovely. Breakfast was lovely.... everything from poached scrambled and fried eggs. Proper english sausage, fruits, pastries etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. We didnt visit for lunch/evening meals. All in all its a nice hotel. 1st time ive been tp benidorm in over 20yrs. I think the place itself just is not to my taste but if your going and wanting an adult only hotel that isnt really rowdy id recommend hear. If I ever did go back to benidorm I would stay hear.
