“An aging marvel from the good old days with delightful and competent people”
Every single on-arrival request was completed to perfection. They also, unprompted, upgraded me to a beautiful high end suite. The hotel staff were delightful, and the gym is shockingly good for a central London hotel - designed by someone athletically competent. The room finishes albeit slightly dated, are high quality. Room was dead quiet, okay mattress, wide pillow selection, good linen. Breakfast was high quality
Feels slightly dated - finishes have accumulated wear&tear, especially carpets. Air conditioning and ventilation are lacking - despite setting thermostat to 17 c, the room never cooled below 20'ish and also fluctuated randomly. This can adversely impact sleep quality
