Excellent staff and close to station

Fantastic location and staff! The main entrance and the restaurant are lush.

We had a basement room which smelt like people had been smoking in there. The AC had condensation dripping off it so I think that was adding to the smell and making it also smell damp. Because we were in the basement we had a window but no natural light coming through it which was horrible and the general look was a bit outdated. For the price and how it looked and felt when we first checked in it really let the whole stay down and it was lucky we were only in that room one night otherwise we wanted to ask to switch. It’s so annoying because if we had a better room it would have been a 10/10 stay. Felt like we were just chucked in the basement out of the way of other guests which isn’t a nice feeling. So disappointing the room smelt so bad because the bathroom was lovely but the rest of it was horrible and definitely needs updating. On that basis I can’t recommend to others and I also won’t be returning. FYI it’s disgusting to charge almost £200 to stay in a basement with no natural light for one night. Those rooms should be discounted or don’t put people in them at all.
