“Clean beautiful Space, but unwelcoming staff”
Hotel and gym were immaculate, later than usual checkout (noon) made it really easy for us to depart after an event. Locker rooms were well appointed and thoughtfully designed. Club areas maintained the charm of old LA without appearing worn or dated, and the lounge upstairs was very reasonable for LA pricing.
As a hotel guest who was clearly not dressed to workout at the gym, I got stopped often to show a hotel key card as I was moving about the building. The staff, while kind, created an atmosphere of unwelcomeness, as thought we did not belong in that space. An easy remedy to this would simply be to have card access entry points (like access to the elevators) so that we weren't constantly stopped by staff.
