“Beautiful place struggling to meet its own standards!”
The building, “character “, grounds and a beautiful and charming lobby area serving good afternoon tea the way it should be!!.room also, assigned to a 2 room suite.
Some spaces and surfaces of the building and pool floor a bit tired. The Fontana restaurant is beautiful when brunching on Sundays, but seriously expensive, $510 for a family of three, but is noticeably mediocre concerning the general experience when it comes to dinner. Our main complaint though is the staff attitude in general with some exemptions to be fair! The guards/security of the pool area are just unacceptable!!..calling guests “hey boss” and “get out of the water” shouting, when weather conditions command, is offensive the least and inappropriate for the establishment! It looks like the HR is doing favours and more than half of the personnel is proved short of expectations! Returning to our room from a full day out at 17:15 and finding it exactly as we left it in the morning is one thing but calling the receptionist just to be said “they have until 17:30” without a sorry is next level!!
